Property Description

A luxuriously appointed and spacious detached modern house set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Each room commands a breath taking view of the sea and fascinating coastline. Swimming, fishing and boating opportunities are only a few yards from this exceptional holiday home.

Kirkandrews, an ancient and picturesque group of houses, is a well-kept secret. Its secluded cove, just a stone's throw from Tigh-Na-Mara in time gone by was used by fishermen for mooring their boats. It is still used for small fishing boats but is also ideal for swimming at high tide and for water sports. The rocky shore and its pools around the cove are fascinating territory for the naturalist.

Ideal for forest or coastal walks.  'The Artist Town' of Kirkcudbright with its busy working harbour is within easy reach for eating out and shopping. Places of interest worth a visit include Broughton House in Kirkcudbright; for the younger generation Cream o'Galloway & the Cocoa Bean Factory will keep them entertained; whilst those looking for more active pursuits will enjoy a visit to Laggan Outdoor and Galloway Activity Centre; Mountain Bike trails are a short drive away at Kirroughtree, part of the Forestry commissions 7 stanes Mountain Bike Trails, and for the stargazers, opportunites abound with the Galloway Forest Park (Britain's First Dark Skies Park) nearby. All combining to make this lovely house an ideal base for a holiday in Dumfries & Galloway.
