One of a pair of warm, pleasant, cosy semi-detached self catering cottages in the heart of the renowned RSPB Mersehead Nature Reserve, famous for its waterfowl, especially wintering barnacle geese. The cottages have both been completely refurbished and refurnished to a high standard providing very comfortable accommodation. The cottages are open all year and you may walk the nature trails, visit the bird watching hides and visitor centre or walk to the beach which is part of the reserve. Small towns, sandy beaches, pubs and eating out places are only a short drive away.
In autumn and winter large numbers of the Svalbard population of barnacle geese arrive at Mersehead so you will have noisy neighbours but with an unrivalled chance to see these amazing birds and other winter visitors - more information at : http://www.rspb.org.uk/reserves/guide/m/mersehead/index.aspx .
