Description
This Loch is man made and lies on the A712 approximately 5 miles west of New Galloway. Clatteringshaws is an extensive piece of water holding good-sized Brown Trout, Pike and Perch. The best results noted for both Trout and Pike seems to be from the eastern shore, as it is the most accessible part of the Loch by the roadside. There is a tearoom with facilities next to the loch and the Deer Museum for the wildlife lovers.
