Property Description

This warm and cosy cottage has a light, airy and fresh atmosphere. Facing West it takes in the evening sunshine and the beautiful sunsets from most of the rooms.

To the rear is large a porch area for storing outdoor clothing, boots, fishing rods, cycles etc.

With a twin / double and a large single bedroom Old Stables offers comfortable accommodation for the smaller family although a guest bed can be supplied for use in the single room. The large bedroom has windows to the front and rear and offers the choice of twin beds or a large double. Bed linen, towels, tea towels, bath mats, cots and high chairs are supplied free of charge. The open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area has seating for four and is equipped with a hob and combination oven / microwave / grill, toaster and kettle. Sky TV, a VCR and a selection of videos, books and indoor games are available for all the family together with a wealth of tourist information.

Adjacent to the cottages is also a secure playing field for all to enjoy with a selection of outdoor games including badminton, cricket, boules and football etc.

We can offer free grazing for horses during the summer months plus secure parking for horseboxes / trailers together with free use of our newly constructed 40x20m menage, free hay and storage for feed.

There is easy access to a good selection of beaches and forests and a number of local summer events.

The bustling town of Stranraer and the harbour village of Portpatrick are just a short drive away both offering a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Daily ferry trips to Ireland are also available from Stranraer.
