Property Description

Brighouse Bay has everything!

You can choose to have a fun filled, action packed family holiday or simply savour the acres of land in this wildlife haven to relax in. We welcome tents, tourers and motorhomes plus offer quality accommodation in lodges or holiday homes all year round.

One of Scotland's top environmental Parks, Brighouse Bay is set in a quiet and secluded peninsula, with magificent views over the Irish Sea and is surrounded by 1200 acres of great walking country. We have recently been voted best camping and caravan site in the UK, this was a survey conducted by leisure company Barrons. Brighouse Bay boasts a vast range of on-site facilities that appeal to everyone, from small boats on the pond for the younger generation to Quad Bikes for the thrillseekers. The indoor pool complex offers swimming for all ages with a jacuzzi and steam room for a spot of relaxation after all that work.

Our first-class outdoor facilities mean that guests can make the most of the refreshing South West Scotland scenery. With activities ranging from mini-golf to quad bikes, pony trekking and playgrounds, plus a private beach, nature trails, woodland to explore, a slipway and free coarse fishing, there really is something here for all the family. The 18 hole Golf Course is championship length and has glorious views across the Irish Sea. There is also a 9 hole par 3 for all the family. The keen golfer may wish to visit the Club website on .

For non-golfers there are coastal paths and woodland walks to stroll along and take in the beautiful countryside. The local town of Kirkcudbright is just 7 miles away. Visitors of all ages will have fun exploring the long south-facing coastline of Dumfries and Galloway with its rural byways, little towns full of character, wooded valleys, scenic lochs, open hilltops, ancient castles, abbeys and numerous specially designated wildlife areas.
